Needham Library Community Room April Social Event. We plan to show the film King Corn on Sunday, April 26, beginning at 2:00 pm at the Library Community Room. Professor Ben Linder from Olin College will facilitate a discussion after the film. He will help us understand what has happened to our food supply and what we can do to make healthier choices.

Please bring friends and a donation for the Needham Community Council Food Pantry.

Olin College Fall Forum. The Climate Action Committee is excited to announce that this year's Fall Forum will feature the internationally acclaimed food activist, Frances Moore Lappé, author of Diet for a Small Planet and many other books. She will be inspiring and informing us how to choose foods that promote health and help reduce global warming. An accompanying environmental fair will feature various local food-related efforts, such as the Needham Community Farm committee, local community supported agriculture, the neighborhood farm project, and promoters of "edible landscaping."
