The 2026 Ballot Questions
Rep. Amy Sangiolo Forum with Pro and Con Presentations
State Representative Amy Sangiolo of the Middlesex 11th District held a forum to inform the public on the upcoming Massachusetts State Ballot questions. The first meeting covered questions 4, 6, 7, and 9. The second meeting discussed Questions 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8 (coming soon). Representative in favor and against the questions present their reasons.
Every two years, Massachusetts voters may be called upon to vote whether or not to enact new laws, amend the Constitution, or repeal recently passed laws through ballot questions. Ballot questions have been around since the formation of the Commonwealth, but the process for allowing citizens to initiate laws, amendments, and repeals has only been in effect for the past 100 years.
In 2026, 10 ballot questions, nine statewide and one local, will be on the November 3 State Election ballot.
- Question 1: Expanding the Public Records Law
- Question 2: Collective Bargaining for CPCS Employees
- Question 3: State Primary Elections
- Question 4: Election Day Registration
- Question 5: State Revenue Limit & Rebate
- Question 6: Natural Resource Conservation Fund
- Question 7: Single Family Homes
- Question 8: Prohibit Retail Sale of Adult Recreational Use Marijuana
- Question 9: Firearms Regulation
- Question 10: Funding the new Pollard Middle School building project
