Candidate Interviews for

Needham Housing Authority Board, 4-Year Seat

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the League of Women Voters of Needham was not able to produce its usual “Candidates Night” forum for contested races. Instead, LWV-Needham used Zoom videoconferencing to interview each candidate for the only contested townwide board, Needham Housing Authority 4-Year Seat.

We opted to interview the candidates separately, but kept the questions, time to answer, interviewer, and other conditions as similar as possible to avoid any unintended advantage for either candidate. We thank the candidates, Ross Donald and Eleanor Evans, for their cooperation and willingness to participate in this unusual format.

One item to note about the interviews. We said in the introduction that we would ring a bell at 60 seconds and again at 90 seconds. We quickly realized this was unnecessarily disruptive and rang the bell only once per question, when time was up at 90 seconds.
