Seven candidates are running for Norfolk County District Attorney in the September 1 Democratic Primary. The current DA is not running for re-election. All seven candidates participated in the August 12 League of Women Voters forum. No candidates for this office are on the Republican primary ballot. One independent candidate will face the winner of the Democratic Primary in the general election on November 3.

League of Women Voters Norfolk County District Attorney Primary Candidate Forum

Meet the candidates running for Norfolk County District Attorney in the September 1, 2026 State Primary in a Zoom Forum co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Needham, Brookline, Dover-Sherborn, Norwood, Sharon-Stoughton, Wellesley, Westwood-Walpole-Dedham.

Forum Format: The forum will be conducted according to League of Women Voters guidelines. After opening statements, a League Moderator will ask the candidates questions, followed by closing statements.

Viewing the Forum: The forum will begin at 4 pm on Wednesday, August 12. Watch the forum live on The Needham Channel website (https://bit.ly/TNC-live) or Roku app at www.needhamchannel.org/. Join the Zoom audience and watch the forum live. Registration is required.

Voting in the Primary: The Primary is September 1, 2026. Members of political parties (Republican, Democratic) may vote only in their own party’s primary. Unenrolled voters (often referred to as “independents”) and members of political designations or minor parties may vote in the party primary of their choice. You may change your party enrollment prior to the voter registration deadline (Aug 22). Mail-in and early voting in person will be available.
