Constitution Series 4: Civil Rights
Tuesday, November 9 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm$15
Our journey through the ins and outs of government returns this year with the Constitution Series. This fast paced and interactive overview focuses on four aspects of the Constitution to discuss and digest. We are fortunate that Bob Baker, retired Needham High teacher who took us on a tour of the Federal Government in last years’ Civics Series, will lead all four sessions.
You won’t just listen! Mr. Baker will bring you into the discussion and give you an opportunity to make Constitutional judgements on real and hypothetical cases, and to offer your own ideas for Constitutional amendments.
The sessions will build on one another and may not fall exactly as described below. All sessions are limited to 30 and will be held on Zoom. We highly recommend registering for the whole series!
Session 4: Civil Rights
During the session on civil rights, we will focus on issues regarding the freedoms of speech and of religion, and on due process rights such as those established in Roe v. Wade.
Date: Tuesday, Nov 9 Time: 7:30-9:00PM
Fee: $15 ($45 if you register for the full series)
