LWV Needham Endorses Town Meeting Articles

The League of Women Voters of Needham (LWVN) supports the passage of the following 2025 Town Meeting articles. Each year the LWVN Board of Directors reviews the warrants for articles that address our stated positions on public policy issues.

Annual Town Meeting Articles that support affordable housing:

Articles 18 & 19: Amend Zoning Bylaw—Multifamily Overlay District (“Base Compliance Plan”) and Map Change.

Article 22: East Militia Heights Development

Article 23: Preservation of Seabeds Way

Special Town Meeting Articles that promote an environmental benefit to life through the protection and wise management of natural resources in the public interest, including promoting policies to reduce the generation of solid and hazardous wastes:

Article 11: “Skip the Stuff”

Article 12: Prohibit Black Plastic Kitchenware
