Presentation re. TM Article 15, Opt-In Specialized Energy Code

At the upcoming Special Town Meeting on October 30, you will be asked to vote on whether Needham should adopt the new Opt-In Specialized Energy Code. This optional addition to the building code would require new buildings to be more energy efficient.

The League of Women Voters of Needham and Green Needham Collaborative both endorse adoption of the new code, and co-hosted an information session on Zoom for Town Meeting Members to learn more about the new Specialized Code.

The information session included a presentation from Stephen Frail, Chair of the Needham Climate Action Planning Committee.
