League of Women Voters State Senate Candidate Forum

Meet the candidates running in the November 8, 2022 election to represent the Norfolk, Worcester and Middlesex District of the Massachusetts State Senate.

Incumbent Democrat Sen. Becca Rausch and challenger, Republican Rep. Shawn Dooley, have accepted our invitation to participate on October 18, 2022 at 4 pm. The forum is hosted by the Leagues of Women Voters of Needham.

Questions for the candidates may be emailed in advance to lwvneedham@gmail.com. Questions should be relevant to boyj candidates for the office and current issues must be received by October 18 at 12 noon.

The forum will be conducted on Zoom and can be viewed live on The Needham Channel website at https://www.needhamchannel.org/watch-programs-on-needhamchannel-org/.

The recorded forum will be available at the Needham Channel and LWV websites.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization that does not endorse parties or candidates.

Election Dates and Deadlines:

  • Election Day: Tues, Nov 8, Polls open 7am – 8pm
  • Deadline to register to vote or change party/name/address for this election: Sat, Oct 29.
  • Vote by Mail: Apply for ballot by Tues, Nov 1, 5pm. Ballots returned by mail from inside the United States must reach your local election office by 5 pm on November 12, 2022, to be counted. Mailed ballots received after 8 pm on Election Day can only be counted if they are postmarked by Election Day.
  • Early Vote in Person: Sat, Oct 22 – Fri, Nov 4 (Hours and locations determined locally).
