The Women’s Suffrage Movement in Needham

A full house was in attendance at the 2019 LWV-Needham Opening Forum on October 3 at the Needham Library. League President Karen Price presented some of the events planned this year. in recognition of the 100th Anniversaries of the 19th Amendment and the League of Women Voters, LWV-Needham is planning a series of events and projects celebrating the women activists throughout US history.

Guest Speaker Gloria Greis, Executive Director of the Needham History Center & Museum, spoke about the women’s suffrage movement in Needham. Her presentation included political cartoons, handwritten notes, and newspaper articles from the History Center’s archives.
